Carolyn Bessette Kennedy wedding dress designer Narciso Rodriguez may not have sent a replica of her wedding dress down the runway for his Cerruti SS 1997 show but he sent a replica of Carolyns rehearsal dinner dress down the catwalk. Fact checked and confirmed by Narciso himself to be quote "one in the same".

Narciso has confirmed the fabric is "an embroidery, not a fabric. It is a fishnet technique made of nude caviar beads. I lined it with a nude satin slip for Carolyn to wear".

Narciso Rodriguez was consulting for Cerruti when he designed Carolyn Bessette’s wedding dress. His spring 1997 collection for the brand was presented soon after the secret ceremony, and Vogue declared him a "sudden sensation".

According to a review in the New York Times from 1996, the Cerutti SS 1997 collection was inspired by Carolyn Besset Kennedy.

Narciso told Vogue "I  worked on Carolyn’s wedding dress in Paris and I showed [my third Cerruti collection] right after Carolyn’s wedding, and I think everybody expected to see her wedding dress as evening dresses. But you know what? I did sportswear".

Please note this is not the same exact dress Carolyn wore herself but rather a ready to wear version that is 'one in the same'.
